The famous Five Church Walk will take place on Bank Holiday Monday 1st May.
The walk is a fund-raiser for various charities and is always well supported with many walkers striding out to visit as many of the churches as their little legs will take them to.
Start time is 10.00 from any of the churches. Returns booked in 6 pm latest.
The churches are the village ones in:
Molash – Chilham – Godmersham – Boughton Aluph – Challock.
Walkers will walk in a clockwise direction and complete the whole circuit (phew!) or finish when they wish at any church. Whole circuit is a generous 16 (yes, 16) miles but with stages between 3 and 5 miles, a gentle stroll. Refreshments and loos available at each church.
Entry, sponsor and gift-aid forms available from the church porches, Challock Post Office, The George Inn, Molash. They can also be downloaded from the Five Church Walk’s website: www.thefivechurchwalk.co.uk

Sunday 18th June will see 5 gardens in Molash being opened for members, locals, friends and family to visit. The gardens are hosting the visits to raise funds for the Ellenor Hospices charity. This is something new for the Society and promises to be an enjoyable event. The garden owners may be more apprehensive!
The gardens are the pride of :- Karen & Roger Mudge, Kim & Paul Lowe, Delenda James & Pauline May, Christine & Richard Drage and Anne & Ray Loftus. Each garden is different from the others and should make for an interesting tour. 2 are in Church Lane, 2 in Shottenden Lane and 1 in Pound Lane. Please be advised that Kew, Chelsea and Hampton Court have nothing to fear! All gardeners are strictly amateur but enjoy a gardening challenge.
Gardens will be open from 1 pm to 6 pm and may be visited in any order. Entry to all gardens will cost only £2.50 pp in total. Children under 10 are free of charge. Refreshments will be available with all donations for them and profits from admissions given to Ellenor Hospices.
